CalPublications.com is a wholly owned subsidiary of Process Service Network, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company which has been in business since 1978. It publishes California legal notices in every county online on its website at https://calpublications.com.

Its partner website, Global Legal Notices (https://globallegalnotices.com specializes in international service by publication in 88 countries.

Both companies go beyond what traditional print newspapers publish by publishing the entire court file (as requested) as well as the Court Order and Summons. In addition, Publication is continuous for 4 successive weeks rather than once a week as is the case with traditional newspapers.

Note: The U.S. Supreme Court in Mullane v. Central Hanover Trust & Bank Co., 22 ILL.339, U.S. 306, 70 S. Ct. 652, 94 L. Ed. 865 (1950), found that, “It is a logical step forward in the evolution of civil procedure that the use of new technologies in common communication be utilized.” Thus, service by publication utilizing modern online methods now provides a better way to give “actual notice” to a defendant than in a traditional print newspaper. A Google search of the defendant’s name will typically result in the publication appearing on page 1 of the Google search.
